Relevant introduction of disposable lunch box

For most white-collar workers, lunch is nothing more than ordering takeaways, eating boxed lunches, bringing their own lunch, and eating out at restaurants. These ways of eating lunch inevitably have to deal with disposable lunch boxes. Recently, microwave oven lunch boxes and disposable lunch boxes have encountered quality and safety problems, and many white-collar workers are afraid of this. In fact, facing the relative day and night of the disposable lunch box and worrying about it, it is better to learn the correct choice and use.

Generally speaking, storefronts that charge environmental packaging fees generally use harder transparent lunch boxes. This kind of disposable lunch boxes are more environmentally friendly and guaranteed; those that do not charge packaging fees are generally white foam lunch boxes; fast food bought in supermarkets are generally plastic lunch boxes Packaged. The white-collar takeaway family does not have much choice for lunch boxes. Basically only choose what to eat, not what lunch box to use. When the box lunch is delivered, it will not be rejected because of the lunch box.

Related experts believe that not all disposable lunch boxes are harmful, and some are due to improper use. Pure polypropylene lunch boxes, composite lunch boxes, and foamed lunch boxes appear more on the market. The pure polypropylene (PP code 5) lunch box has high safety and can withstand temperature up to 120℃. It can contain oily and high-temperature food, and it can also be used in a microwave oven. The main raw materials of composite lunch boxes are polypropylene, filling materials and color masterbatches. Inferior composite lunch boxes may use raw and auxiliary materials in violation of regulations. The main material of the disposable foamed lunch box is polystyrene, which is not resistant to high temperature and easy to absorb oil. It contains food with a lot of oil and high oil temperature. It cannot be heated in a microwave oven or steamer.

The instructions for the use of disposable lunch boxes should be read clearly. Although the report also pointed out that the plasticizer content of the seven samples is lower than the European standard, it is still unavoidable for white-collar workers with meals. Experts from the Food Packaging Association said that the polypropylene used in most microwave plastic lunch boxes has good heat resistance. It is sterilized at a temperature above 100°C, and will not deform at 150°C under the condition of no external force. Generally, heating in a microwave oven for a short time will not precipitate excessive plasticizer. However, if the temperature exceeds the heat resistance limit, the plasticizer may also be released, so long-term heating of plastic lunch boxes at high temperatures should be avoided.

1. Pay attention to the production date. The shelf life of plastic products is generally three to five years. If it is used frequently, it is better to replace it in one to two years.

2. When purchasing, pay attention to whether there are QS marks and numbers, whether there are material descriptions and precautions for use, and whether they are marked with the words "Microwave Useable" Choose a transparent lunch box as well.

3. The lid of some lunch boxes may not be made of heat-resistant material, so the lid should be removed when heating.

4. It is best to avoid using plastic boxes to heat foods with a lot of fat and high sugar content, because the boiling point of the oil easily exceeds the heat resistance limit of the plastic, and the oil, sugar and plasticizer are all organic and similarly compatible.
