Four categories of environmentally friendly lunch boxes

1. Starch:
Disadvantages: The anti-mildew technology has not been resolved, and the cost is too high. Even if the technology passes in the future, it is difficult to form a market because China is a food-deficit country.

2. Double-degradable plastics:
Disadvantages: This kind of tableware is just adding photosensitizer and starch to the plastic. The added part is degradable, and the plastic part is still not degradable. Therefore, it is not a truly green product and should not be promoted.

3. Pulp:
Disadvantages:

A. A paper-molded lunch box weighs 25 grams and costs 0.35 yuan. The daily output of 40,000 lunch boxes requires one ton of paper pulp, which is equivalent to cutting trees of more than a ton. It is calculated by 300 working days a year. With more than 300 cubic meters of trees, this is undoubtedly worse for China, which is poor in forests, and the resulting soil erosion and land desertification are even more unimaginable.

B. Coupled with high prices, it is difficult for consumers to accept.

C. It is not appropriate to take soups, and the toughness is not enough.

4. Plant fiber.

Advantages: First, the source is renewable resources; second, it will not cause pollution to the environment during the formation and disposal; third, it saves resources during the reproduction process. Plant fiber disposable tableware is based on annual herb straw fiber.

Disadvantages: There is not much output and it is difficult to buy on the market.
